Ah yes, when you know your feet will be getting that dirty, you must offset it with super-girly pink and red nail polish. Mackenzie, as always, you rock!
Thanks, Gwen! The nail polish is strangely changing colors as I hike; it started out at bright pink and is now more red.
I miss you and the writing center crew! Please tell everyone that I said hello.
How is it that your feet are dirty in just this fashion? In the photos, you are wearing ankle socks and shoes, but in this photo your toes are as dirty as your legs above where your socks were. I’m just so curious as to how your toes became this dirty. Cute nail polish, btw!
It’s nice to hear from you! I hope that you’re doing well. I hike in New Balance running shoes. The toe box of the shoe is mesh, so dirt and dust collects around my toes.
Please tell the wonderful folks at JCCC that I said hello!
Talk soon, Mackenzie
Aha! Mystery solved! This past weekend I walked for about 8 hours through the hills and valleys of San Francisco and thought of you. Waking up with sore muscles in my ankles today(who gets sore muscles in their ankles?!), I realized how little walking I do on a regular basis. I’m so happy for you that you are finally fulfilling your goal of making this walk! Best wishes to you for a successful experience; it will be fun to read your blog as you go.
